About this site

Dhimsa.com is a small, independent reference site about one thing: the Dhimsa dance of the Araku Valley and the Eastern Ghats.

It exists because, when Dhimsa reached the world's headlines in August 2026, there was no single decent page explaining what the dance actually is. We aim to be that page — accurate, readable, and honest about the places where sources disagree (folk traditions are recorded unevenly, and village practice varies).
